Some days, I find myself
 counting
         the s e  c   o    n     d      s
 and
   the
     thump
       thump
         thump
 of my heart
           and
 pondering
       quietly
         what I could have
              should have
                   would have
 said
                   were I
    better
         braver
              stronger
      and a lot
  l e s s
                 like
                             me
                        but all I can manage
              now
         is
            . .  .   .    .     .      .
                                                 I'm sorry

                                                   I miss you

                                                     I love you
                                                        i love you
                                                           i love you
                                            I...
JANUARY 14, 2013 - In keeping with the #Glory-Be-Project

JANUARY 16, 2013 - Submitted to the #vicious-verse group for the contest "Mea Culpa" hosted by `thetaoofchaos

We all have our regrets, don't we? I suppose the thing to ask, though is...

should we?

Every passing minute... is another chance to turn it all around

There is a lot that you cannot hope to change, hope to influence, hope to turn around but there are many more things that you can. Your words, your actions, they all have the potential to mean so much to the right person, the right people, and you should always remember that every second of every day is just another chance to make that moment matter...

to them
to you

For all the millions of things in the world that are worth regretting and agonizing over, do not let your words or your actions be among them. Bearing this in mind, I have something to tell you

I love you
I love you
I love you

Usually I'm not interested in such kind of poetry...
BUT...
I don't know...I stumbled upon this and felt hooked...and moved...
It's poetry in art form...or art in poetry form...
Well done!

;D I am honored and pleased to be an exception for you, miss
It is ever my aim to move a person with my writing, my words... so thank you
This is definitely something new to me! I'm not sure why I haven't done this a lot more for nearly everything I've written... I guess it just never really occurred to me until very recently!

You definitely moved me. I'm glad I stumbled upon this [link]
Keep going...it makes poetry so much more intense...
But your other work is brilliant, too!

:giggle: Are they? You're a darling  If I had to guess, though, I would say that it has a lot to do with the build-up - in the poem itself and that was happening inside me - that really lent itself to the end. In fact both "Wonderment" and "Greying" were written in a matter of minutes while listening to a song I love has a lot to do with it, too (emotional support!). I'm quite pleased that you think it ends so well :) as that can be a difficult thing to do!

Last lines can be tough. They're probably the most important part of any work though.

Comments have been enabled for the utterly inexplicable and pointed interest in this particular poem of mine. Pour your hearts out
